Use tips

  • Ideal for both electric and gas hobs.
  • Oven safe to 230°C/450°F/Gas Mark 8.
  • Because of its superior conductivity, copper cookware rarely requires full heat on a hob, typically no more than 50-75% of full power.  Use a lower flame when cooking with gas.
  • Avoid pre-heating an empty saucepan and never allow this to boil dry.
  • When seasoning your food remember to heat the water to boiling point first, especially before adding salt.  This disperses the salt quickly and prevents pitting of the stainless steel lining.

Care tips

  • Always allow pots and pans to cool before cleaning.
  • Do not put copper cookware in a mechanical dishwasher.
  • We do not recommend the use of products containing bleach for cleaning copper cookware.
  • Hand washing in warm soapy water is normally all that is required.  Always dry immediately after washing with a soft cloth.
  • Copper will develop a rich patina over time.  This will not affect cooking performance.
  • To keep copper pans looking like new, use a polish suitable for copper and a fine abrasive pad.
  • Apply a light coat of vegetable oil to cast iron handles from time to time to prevent rusting.
  • For further information please see this article on maintaining and cleaning copper cookware.
  • Unless otherwise indicated above, this item is available for immediate despatch from our warehouse.
  • Orders received before 2.30 pm on a weekday are normally despatched the same day.   Orders received after 2.30pm, or on a non-weekday, are despatched the next working day.
  • All items are carefully prepared for shipping, wrapped in plastic bubble wrap and protected with eco-friendly polystyrene peanuts, and packed in heavy-duty boxes.
  • Any item damaged in transit will be replaced immediately.

Another well made pan A well made pan I had purchased as a wedding gift for my new wife. As she likes a milky coffee in the evening. I will continue to add to our range of pans obviously not as presents!

10cm copper saucepan This is a great liitle addition to our expanding copper collection. Another top quality and well made pan from FALK Culinair. This little gem is no exception. It is very versatile in it's uses. We have used it to make sauces as well as heating milk for a nice mug of hot chocolate. Well done for stocking such a fine product.

Small really is beautiful This very cute little pan has sat on my stove top ever since it arrived, and you wouldn't believe the remarks it has attracted (are you on a diet? what's the point of this? did it come free with the others?)well....it heats up the milk for my coffee, fries garlic, melts butter with herbs, and really came into its own making marinades and sauces for grilling/bbq - I don't know how I managed without it.

We have listed below some common questions and answers relating to this item. If you require information that is not provided on this page, our Customer Service Department will be happy to assist you.

Ask a question

Should I buy a lid with this?

Many cooking tasks do not require a lid, others require a lid on the pan.

A lid does however keep both moisture and heat in the pan. When simmering liquids you generally want to retain the moisture. The liquid will also simmer at a lower temperature under a lid.

We sell our lids separately, so that pans can be purchased without these. Also, all our lids are interchangeable. A 24cm lid will fit a 24cm saucepan, stewpot, casserole, etc.
